Danny Shane Davis, 56, of Marion, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026. He was born in McDowell County on August 25, 1969, and was the son of Charles and Mary Smith Davis. Danny's sister, Rebecca Davis, preceded him in death.
A devoted outdoorsman, Danny enjoyed hunting and fishing when he could. His other passions included writing poetry, which provided a creative outlet for his thoughts and feelings. Friends and family remember him as someone who loved nature and spent much of his free time exploring the great outdoors.
Danny is survived by his sons, Luke and Mason Davis; his brother Mark Davis (Michael); niece Jessica George and her children Jeremiah and Natalie George; and nephew Zachary Mills. His passing will be deeply felt by all those who knew him well.
A memorial service for Danny Shane Davis will be held at a later date, with Rev. Larry Gentry officiating. Details of the service are yet to be announced. Those wishing to pay their respects can sign the guestbook or send flowers through Beam Funeral Service & Crematory.
